I hate Bangalore for its traffic. The honking, the dust, the slow moving misery on my scooter from Indiranagar feels like a test of patience. But then there’s Kuttanad. And there’s their biryani. Somehow, this biryani makes all that suffering feel worth it. Especially when paired with the dates aacha! Would I curse Bangalore traffic on the way? Yes. Would I still make the trip again for this biryani? Absolutely. Price per person: ₹200–400

Kuttanad Restaurant (Nagavara, Opposite Manyata Tech Park)I visited this restaurant and tried parotta with chicken varutharacha curry and also ordered elanir pudding—it was really tasty and enjoyable. However, the chicken varutharacha curry along with the parotta was not worth the price, as it didn’t quite match the expectation. The ambience of the restaurant was good, the place was clean and welcoming, but overall the value for money wasn’t very satisfying.
