This Onam it was Kumarakom The Restaurant at Nungambakkam Chennai. Have been a frequent diner here until a decade ago. And not much has changed since. The ambience and seating retain their old world charm. Though the service was attentive and indulgent, it was also a bit clumsy and arbitrary. The waiters need more training and finesse. The food was passable. There are certain staples that need to reach the tables hot - like rice, sambar and rasam. They were all cold. Left a bit disenchanted wishing Kumarakom Nungambakkam would get it's groove back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹600–800 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
