1/5 — Beautiful place, but the food was a huge letdown We were genuinely excited to try Bask by Coffee? in Palavakkam. The place looks stunning from the outside and we had high hopes — but unfortunately, the food and overall experience left us very disappointed. We were a group of four and ordered: • Garlic Butter Prawns – Overpowered with unwanted cheese, absolutely no garlic flavor. A complete miss. • Chicken Dumplings – Hard, dry, and seemed baked instead of steamed. Nearly impossible to cut. • Chicken Strips – Had a strange aftertaste. Not enjoyable. • Roasted Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese – Arrived with the main course instead of as a starter. Too thick and not flavorful. • Mocktails – The Fizzberry was just okay, but the Virgin Mojito tasted like diluted mint chutney. • Main Course – Mutton with Kashmiri bread had tender meat but the gravy was bland and disappointing. Pasta was just average. We came in with high expectations, but sadly nothing delivered. For such a hyped-up spot, this was a huge letdown. Not worth the visit unless the kitchen seriously rethinks the menu and preparation. Would not recommend — giving it a 1-star rating purely for the ambience.
