Top quality Maharashtrian food joint which can stand shoulder to shoulder with any other Marathi eatery in say Dadar, Girgaum, Thane or anywhere else! A family favourite for years, Khavayye manages to serve simple but punchy fare, and a lot of variety without compromising on the core branding. Over the years I would have tried some twenty dishes, but can't find fault as such with anything. Perhaps their misal thali could get better: there's lots of poha, usal and misal (or chivda) that they serve, but the amount of rasa was too little as compared to these other garnishes, so I ended up eating them by themselves - though I'm not complaining. The staff, although courteous, could slightly be more enterprising if you ask me. However, all in all, Khavayye rocks. The food may be good but staff is certainly not! I have been regularly ordering food from this restaurant and today I thought to bring my parents here who have come from north, to make them taste Maharashtrian food however the staff made their experience worse. The owner have no courtesy to talk to guests. In food business, food may be of top quality but the way you serve food is also equally important. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
