Today I visited Kath N Ghat Restaurant to celebrate my mom’s birthday. We had been planning to visit for a long time, so we finally decided to go there for dinner. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The variety of food was very limited, and the quality did not match the prices being charged. The food is extremely expensive compared to what is being offered. Honestly, we could have enjoyed a much better meal at any 2- or 3-star restaurant for the same or even lower cost. My request to the management is to stop misleading customers by charging high prices for such limited quantity and quality. Please charge fairly according to what you provide. I also have one suggestion for the owners of Kath N Ghat: kindly increase your food variety. This would really improve the overall dining experience.

The place will definitely catch your attention with the outer appearance which is very rustic. The ambience is beautifully decorated with sculpted idols, chandelier and painted ceiling. The walls and the waiting area ceilings are all covered with a native painting depicting the ancient history of India depicting the royal ‘Wada’ Right from the interior to songs to cutlery to menu everything depicts Marathi culture. They serve a various Maharashtrian regional cuisine viz, Kolhapuri, Aagri, Khandeshi, Saoji and Malvani. The seafood here is really good, if you crave for good Kokani taste, this is the right place to dine. Do try their Tava fry fishes which are fresh. They serve in copper plated cutlery to add to the essence of the culture. The staff is polite and good when it comes in recommending a dish, however, the service needs to be bit swift. They have a huge dining hall upstairs where you can plan to visit with your group for a reminiscing time.
