If you’re looking for a food experience that promises heat but falls short on flavor, this place might be your go-to—though it’ll come with a steep price tag. The dishes are loaded with spice, but oddly, that’s about all they have going for them. The heat might make your forehead sweat, but there’s little to no depth in the flavor. It’s as if the spice is just there to mask a lack of seasoning and creativity. At the end of the meal, you’re left feeling like you spent a lot of money for a fiery experience that didn’t quite satisfy the taste buds. Not worth the price unless you’re specifically hunting for an intense burn without much else. Price per person: ₹1,400–1,600 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Review for Kasturi Restaurant - Asansol We visited Kasturi Restaurant in Asansol on 2nd February( Saraswati Puja) and had an amazing experience. We ordered authentic Bengali cuisine, including Basmati rice, Shukto, Sonamug dal, Jhuri alu bhaja, Doi Katla, and Katla Kalia—and every dish was simply outstanding! The flavors were authentic, the ingredients fresh, and the presentation delightful. The Doi Katla and Katla Kalia were especially flavorful, perfectly cooked, and paired wonderfully with the fragrant rice and crispy Jhuri Alu Bhaja. The Shukto had the right balance of bitterness and sweetness, making for a great start to the meal. Apart from the food, the service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making the experience even better. Overall, a fantastic dining experience for anyone who loves Bengali cuisine. Highly recommended!
