Kanan Resort is a beautiful resort located on the shores of the Indian Ocean, in Ozhinhavalappu near Kanhangad in Kasaragod district. It is blessed with a peaceful and beautiful landscape. It offers delicious food and well-behaved staff. Yoga and herbal medicine are also the specialties of this resort.

Kanan beach resort is located alongside a serene beach in a remote village neat Neeleshwaram. The property has got 10 huts which are painstakingly designed to achieve the look of old kerala house structure and look, but with all modern amenities. The room is equipped with mini fridge, AC, WiFi, kettle, locker, tea/coffee bags, toiletries, dental kits etc. There is NO TV fitted in the room, which I found as a good though which would bring back the 'talking' habit among family. Restaurant serves all Indian and Chinese cuisine. The MUST TRY item is Caramel Pudding which comes in the dessert option. Its better to order early since the preparation time is much longer. There is wheel chair access to almost all places, except to the rooms. The property is having a nice big pool also. The entire property is owned by a Frech family, who come here to stay once or twice every year for one month together during which this property is NOT rented to outsiders.
