I recently dined at your place, drawn by its promising reputation and great location. While the food was indeed flavorful, the experience was marred by significant issues with service, facilities, and overall comfort. Food and Location The food itself was enjoyable and well-prepared, and the restaurant’s location is convenient and appealing. However, the positives end here, as the rest of the experience fell short of expectations. Service and Facilities The service setup and facilities need considerable improvement: 1. Washroom Facilities: The washroom was poorly maintained, with insufficient water supply and a lack of cleanliness. At one point, I considered leaving to find a nearby washroom—a disappointing reality for a restaurant aiming for a quality dining experience. 2. Service Quality: Despite having staff, service felt disorganized and inattentive. Our party of six was crammed into a table meant for four, and at times, I had to leave my seat to flag down staff for basic items like a missing salad plate. It’s a red flag when customers leave their seats to get attention, detracting from the dining experience. 3. Staff Attitude: Both I and other family members felt the waiter’s attitude was dismissive, bordering on rude. This lack of hospitality left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. 4. Ambiance and Cooling: Due to a heavy crowd, the cooling system struggled, and we had to repeatedly ask the staff to turn on the air conditioning or adjust the cooler. The crowded, uncomfortable setting gave us the feeling of being at a highway "dhaba" where truck drivers often stop to eat, rather than a restaurant with quality dining expectations. Overall Impression While Kake di Hathi has potential due to its food and location, the disconnect between the brand image and the actual experience is significant. The heavy crowd, poor cooling, lack of cleanliness, and inattentive service reflect a lack of basic hospitality. This left us eager to finish our meal and leave rather than enjoy a relaxing dining experience. With better training, improved facilities, and a focus on customer care, this restaurant could greatly improve.
