Today, we visited KFC at the VR Mall food court, and honestly, it was a very disappointing experience. The atmosphere inside felt more like a fish market than an international fast-food franchise. One of the cashiers was chatting casually with people standing there, another was busy on her phone, and a guy kept walking in and out. it didn’t feel professional at all. I waited for several minutes, expecting someone to acknowledge or assist me, but no one did. When I finally asked, they just told me to wait. I waited another 5 minutes while they continued helping what seemed like “special customers,” offering discounts using their personal devices. When I politely asked again if someone could take my order, the cashier ignored me. I was about to give up when I saw another staff member become available. I asked about my online order, but she refused to check it. When I requested again if she could take my order, she told me her system was rebooting and made me wait another 5 minutes. I was with my family, just hoping to finally get our food, but after all that waiting, there was not even a simple apology or gesture for the delay. No acknowledgment at all. Having worked for different fast-food franchises in the U.S., I was honestly shocked by such poor customer service. This was my first visit to India after 8 years, and this experience was completely disappointing. To make matters worse, the fries were extra small, and the chicken pieces were burnt. I’ve never experienced such bad service at any KFC before. I truly hope the KFC management looks into this issue and improves the service quality at this location.
