Visited today for lunch. Located just off Radhakrishnan salai. The street Opposite to Stella Maris. Located in an old building on the first floor and Has 3-4 parking spaces.

The train theme was not as impressive as expected. The whole restaurant is split into 2 one with a view outside the train and one inside. The inside view is just normal  looking.

We ordered soup - tomato, cream of mushroom and wanton, starters crispy baby corn, funghi trifolati. Main course paneer burji, kadai vegetables, rotis, a pasta - al formaggi. Desserts chocolate mousse, fruit salad with ice cream.

The food was average. Not bad but not phenomenal either. The chocolate mousse was old and hard. Service was very very slow. We got each flavor of soup at a gap of 10 mins each. 1 starter when we finished the soup and the 2nd starter loong after the soups were done (that too after a reminder). The main course also took time. What's surprising is that totally (including us) there were only 2 tables occupied and still such slow service. The only saving glory is that the waiters would enthusiastically serve/plate up each dish as and when we finish.

The pricing is way too expensive for a normal looking and normal tasting vegetarian restaurant situated in a pretty run down building, Btw they take 10% service charges of their own accord for really slow services which were not worth it. Our bill was around 3800 and we paid 380 as service charges !! Which is a criminal rip off ! The train theme was not impressive at all and some parts were infact as authentic as our real Indian railways... (the washroom.... peeling wall paper, dirty sink and even some unwashed off bleaching powder) I would'nt visit again. The 1.5 rating was only for the food which was average tasting.

Management, you need to pull your socks up pretty fast or your heading for a disaster.

Jupiter express as the name suggests is a train themed restaurant.

Was here for weekend lunch with some of my friends. At first I was excited with the ambiance.. It felt like a compartment from the train was misplaced to this building.Thats only from the outside.Theres no more fun part after that.
As we took our seat, we felt everything elseafter normal. There was no Inside-the-train feel.

Coming to the food,We ordered
Creamy mushroom soup and creamy tomato soup: Both these soups were satisfying.I liked them both. Went well with the name creamy.

Nachos with cheese sauce : very much okayish. Not so good and the quantity was too less for the cost.

Masala mafia : This pasta was the suggested one so we tried it without any second thought. But this was no different from the normal arrabiata pasta. I wondered how is this spl? It dint taste much satisfying and it came with a whooping 400INR.!

Shezwan noodles : Good!

Panner do pyaza and Malai kofta were the only dish which I liked. But still it had a hefty price tag for what it was.Tatste wise it was good. Well flavoured. I personally liked Malawi kofta more. It had perfect amount of sweetness and the spices.I would suggest this dish.

Naan : it was a total disappointment. Way too rubbery! Had a hard time chewing it. We could hardly hav one each! Rest we packed it off!

One the whole,I would say this place will b perfect if they reduce their price tag on all the required dishes.

Ambiance :
