Joseph Bar is a tiny watering hole/village tavern nestled in the picturesque streets of Fontainhas and dates back to the 1970’s. It has a super rustic interior and although it cannot seat more than 10 or so people inside and maybe about 10 more outside, the bar is always packed with locals and travelers. The remnants of an old watch shop are also seen throughout the space. As a traditional Goa tavern, feni and country liquor are the main stars and are sourced from a handful of local producers. The place is a security concern! A group of locals who frequent this place are a big nuisance! A guy named Richard tried to stab one of my friends. I also saw a guy named Robin manhandle other people. The management does nothing even when these guys are chasing people in drunken state outside their property. They are a security concern.
