Jimmy’s Kitchen has been one of the oldest Chinese restaurant of Kolkata that serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Chinese cuisine. We enjoyed its sweet corn soup, jimmy’s special hakka chowmein, crispy wantons and spring rolls. Ambience is nice and seating arrangement is comfortable. • Jimmy’s Kitchen serves authentic old-school Calcutta Chinese, a style that has slowly faded away amidst today’s fusion and modernized Chinese offerings. • The moment you step in, the rich, greasy aroma rising from the woks instantly whets your appetite. • It is a decent 30–40 seater restaurant serving Chinese cuisine along with alcohol. • We tried a wide spread from the menu, both with and without pork, and every dish kept our taste buds thoroughly entertained. • Loved the generous use of green chillies — the flavours were bold and aromatic, yet none of the dishes were overwhelmingly spicy. • Must-try dishes: • Fried Chilli Chicken (Dry) • Lemon Garlic Prawns • Fish Manchurian • Mixed Gravy Chowmein with Pork • Mixed Fried Rice with Pork • That said, the Gravy Chilli Chicken and the Lemon Garlic Fish could have been better compared to the rest of the spread. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹800–1,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section

We visited Jimmy's Kitchen this Sunday for a dinner with my wife, based on the many reviews praising their chilli chicken prepration. The real star of the menu was the pork dish. More flavorful and tender than the famed chicken. The restaurant itself has a warm and welcoming vibe. A small note for those seeking a quiet evening - it can get energetically noisy when it's full of families dining together but that just adds to the lively atmosphere - for us it was part of the charm! Overall a wonderful experience with great food. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹2,000+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
