Best in the city

Actually the food was amazing. We tried tasting menu and it’s perfect for any foreigners who want to try the best Indian fine dining. While the staff was just fine, but the services felt too rush, the staff was harder to be called and everyone was so busy. Even when serving it felt so rushed. Maybe it’s because I took the late night session. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
This can easily be a case study on how something can shine so much and then just fade away. Pathetic experience with our booking on 15th aug for dinner for two. The chefs tasting menu was absolutely unimpressive. Portion size and number of options reduced significantly and i was last there two yrs ago so this is a comparison from that time. For 5400 rupess , we got served no drink whatsoever and on asking for the repeat of a peanut sized potato dish they said no … like seriously 5400 rupees and you cant serve me an aloo again. Fine dining my foot. The same mushroom served as a single dish and then served in the naan too which was oily as hell. Absolutely ridiculous. Including the lack of awarness in this supposed top chef and serving crowd to mistake my friend who has short hair and address her as Sir instead of mam. The clothes of the ones serving were ewwww. I wish i could give zero stars.
Contrary to what most reviews mention, the service at this restaurant is top class. The people who are serve, are polite, friendly and responsive. I have given 3 stars not based on any merit but infact deducted 2 stars for two specific reasons- 1. Betrayal of the high expectations that this place has build for itself and 2. Mockery of the Indian cuisine that this place offers. Indian accent is pure pomp and show - and no substance at all. One bite and a 10 year old child will tell them what a bland meal they serve. No courage to serve the foreigners with real Indian masala- so lets just construct something so tempered down - that it looses the very essence of it’s existence. This is not improvisation or innovation- its just a hideous process of failure.Conde Nast and likes may rank them 3rd - but this makes the rankings a joke. Real chefs don’t go table to table asking for opinions. They let the spoon do the talking. Sorry for being harsh, but i just killed an evening due to them.
