Went to Indian Accent for lunch today, amazing experience. The staff was very courteous and polite. Food and service was on point. Little, but very sweet gestures by the staff, just elevated the entire experience of dining at Indian Accent. Drinks were great, food even better, delicious!

The food is average and the service pretty bad. At a per person price tag of 4800+ taxes and service charge for the tasting menu, you expect a much better 'experience'. To start with, the servers didn't even care to confirm with us whether we would be taking the tasting menu. On call, I had simply mentioned that I might be interested in the tasting menu after which the attendant told me she will share the details of the same. The details were not shared and as soon we sat, the soup and first course was served. We were keen on the tasting menu without a doubt but this is basic service courtesy to check with the guest what they want. Thereafter, our server seemed to be in a constant rush for everything. They were keeping cutlery and picking up plates like it was a fast food joint. The servers were not well spoken or groomed for high-end hospitality either (I'm from Mumbai and could feel that in all almost all eateries in Delhi but definitely expected better at Lodhi). We could barely hear what they were saying about the dishes being served because again it was like they were in some sort of rush. We had gone on the Sunday night last seating and there honestly were very few tables occupied so couldnt understand why the hurry. The meal at the end was filling but not exactly satisfying. The ingredients used didn't feel that premium, the after taste was not satisfying and presentation was certainly lacking. In a meal as such, it wouldnt have hurt them to include some mocktail options to choose from. We ordered a regular coca cola and fresh lime soda and they actually charged for it (again, the evident disinterest to be hospitable). As for the ambience, it was gloomy and looked old. We couldnt see beyond the glasses because there was rain water on it from that afternoon and no one cared to clean it. The reason for giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food was decent just not worthy of the price tag.
