Both Dodda Gadiyaara and Hotel Roopa are recommended for visiting. Among other Indian cuisune places to visit, this restaurant can be one of the greatest. Guests don't like tea at Hotel Roopa.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Roopa, Mysore. We had booked two rooms and were pleasantly surprised when the hotel staff upgraded one of them at no extra cost so that senior members of our group could stay more comfortably. This thoughtful gesture truly reflected their excellent service and guest-first approach. The rooms were neat, clean, and had all the essentials for a comfortable one-night stay. While the room space isn’t very large, it is well-designed and perfectly suited for travelers who spend most of their time exploring the city. The hotel is conveniently located—just a 10-minute walk from the North Gate of Mysore Palace—making it an ideal base for sightseeing. The staff were extremely polite, and the hospitality was commendable. A special mention to the car parking security personnel, who were very attentive and helpful. We even witnessed one of them stopping a car to assist a guest with their side mirrors, which showed their dedication. The rooftop restaurant offers a pleasant ambiance, though the pricing is on the higher side. Overall, Hotel Roopa gave us a very comfortable and pleasant experience, with clean rooms, warm service, and a prime location. Highly recommended for a short and smooth stay in Mysore! Service: 5

We stayed here for a night during our recent trip to Mysore. Opted for this hotel since the reviews were pretty good. When we reached the place, I was quite skeptical about how the rooms would be, since the place looked old. All my doubts vanished as soon as we entered the room. We went with the compact room and I must say it was really nice. It was very cozy, but clean and well maintained. Had all the necessary amenities and perfect to stay for a night or two. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. There is a decent level of parking space in front and behind the hotel. It is located in the centre of the city and most of the tourist places are easily accessible. Service: 4

Rooms are decent. Slightly on the small side but the location is what is great about this place. Right in the heart of the city! Service was good especially by the cleaning team but reception team was ok. They questioned whether I had pre-paid even though the transaction had cleared and should be visible in their account. Bit disappointing when you’re tired and just want to check in to your room! Service: 4
