Situated in the busy Mahabaleshwar market, this place is crowded but definitely worth visiting for the food. The Tandoori Mackerel (4/5) from the special menu was well cooked and flavourful. Pahadi Chicken (4/5) was soft and tasty, while the Matka Chicken (4/5) was well presented and delicious. It paired perfectly with roti and rice. Food quality was impressive overall, though the service was average as we had to call multiple times before being served water. Located in the bustling main market of Mahabaleshwar, Meghdoot Restaurant is one of those convenient stops that draws you in with its extensive multi cuisine menu and lively atmosphere. We explored a wide spread during our visit, including starters like Chicken Tandoori Momos, Chicken Lollipop, and Prawns Rawa Fry, followed by mains such as Surmai Fry, Prawn Thali, Chicken Handi, Butter Chicken, Mutton Dry Fry, along with a few vegetarian dishes like Paneer Butter Masala and Dal Fry, finishing with a simple Malai Kulfi. The overall experience can best be described as pleasant yet fairly average. The non vegetarian offerings, while decent, did not particularly stand out in terms of depth of flavour or finesse. The Surmai Fry and Prawns dishes were enjoyable but remained within the realm of standard execution rather than something memorable.
