My wife & I Visited the Mangala Bar & Restaurant for the first time a couple of days back. We were accompanied by our son who has been a regular here along with his friends. He had been telling us about the Phat Freddie burgers served at this restaurant for a long time and I was tempted to finally try one out. It is one of the older restaurants in Mangalore and is located at Attavar Mangalore. It had to cut down on its floor space due to the reduced patronage during the Covid pandemic but has still managed to have separate sections for bachelors and families. A bit congested but manageable. The clientele is mainly from the younger set and draught beer is available on tap. Overall a pleasant place. The Phat Freddie was good and the evening passed quickly.The Goan touch is unmistakable and even the menu has a Konkani feel to it. "Dookra Maas" anyone...
