We visited this place a couple of days ago. On our earlier visit we had relished a starter called 'chicken natkhat' and We were extremely impressed with it's quality, taste and quantity. This time we ordered their most recommended Special Chicken Thali. It came with chicken sukka ( with 3 med pcs) , chicken rassa (with 1 med pc), chicken alani soup, a boiled egg, solkadhi and 5 chapatis (otherwise they serve 3 chapatis with a bowl of rice but we didn't want rice so they offered 2 extra chapati). Chicken sukka was extremely delicious and chicken was juicy and tender. Chicken rassa and alani soup were equally delicious. Portion size for each dish was generous and more than enough for a person with a good appetite. They generously offered us additional rassa and alani soup during the course of the meal. The restaurant staff was courteous and was attending us well and taking care of additional servings. This special chicken thali is prized at ₹ 310/- (with GST) and I must say that it exceeded our expectations wrt taste n quantity and it was value for money. Yesterday we visited this place. We ordered their most recommended starter" Chicken Nathkath". Small chicken chunks( cubes) tossed in their special spice blend. The format was semi dry and spice level was medium. It's a meal in itself. The format is such that you can have it with chapati or bhakri as well. It was worth trying. The taste was unique and different. It can leave a slight bitterness on your palette may be because of Fenugreek seeds in their spice blend. But it was very delicious and worth repeating. It was priced at Rs. 210/- ( plus gst). The quantity was sufficient for 2 people. It's value for money. When I asked whether their chicken curry tastes same? They offered me a small taster of a chicken curry saying that it's spice mix is different than nakhkhat chicken. And it was. The taste of Curry motivated me to revisit the restaurant for its chicken thali and other delicacies. They have mutton and fish thalis also. They also offer veg dishes both maharashtrian and punjabi. Ambiance was good. They also have AC seating.( Rates are different). Service was excellent. Staff was cordial and polite. I will surely visit this place again for their chicken and other curries/ thalis.( And ofcourse chicken nathkhat) Thank you for the delicious and pleasant experience. Had a great experience at Hotel Gavran Jatra. The food was tasty, service was quick, and the place was clean and comfortable. Perfect for family or friends. Highly recommended!
