I recently had the pleasure of enjoying dinner at "Hotel Gulmohar," in Kolhapur and I must say it was a thoroughly satisfying and flavorful experience. I opted for their popular "Gulmohar Deluxe Thali," and it exceeded all expectations in terms of both Taste and Quality. The thali was a well-curated spread of traditional Kolhapuri Non-veg delicacies, each dish packed with authentic flavors. The stars of the meal were undoubtedly the "Mutton Lonche," "Tambda Rassa" and "Pandhara Rassa "– the Tambda was rich, spicy, and bold, while the Pandhara was mild, creamy, and aromatic. Both rassas were cooked to perfection and truly reflected the essence of Kolhapuri cuisine. The quality of the meat in every dish stood out – it was fresh, tender, and absorbed the spices beautifully. The spice levels were perfectly balanced, enhancing the overall flavor profile without overpowering the palate. One of the biggest highlights was the "Mutton Loche," which was incredibly well-prepared – juicy, flavorful, and cooked with just the right amount of masala. It added a strong, meaty character to the thali and was an absolute treat to eat. Alongside, the "Mutton Fry & "Chicken Masala" , also deserves a special mention. It was rich, deeply spiced, and paired perfectly with the Chapati and rice served in the thali, complementing the meal as a whole. The portion sizes were generous, and the variety offered made it a wholesome and satisfying experience. The service was prompt and courteous, and the overall ambiance of the restaurant added to the comfort of the meal.
