I visited Aryaas Hotel today afternoon with my parents for lunch. My parents ordered South Indian meals, and I had a Veg Pulao. The meals were just average—nothing special. The Veg Pulao was okay, a bit on the moderate side in terms of taste. They did provide extra salad when I asked, which I appreciate, but there was no pickle served. Only one papad came with the pulao. I also ordered a Sulaimani. I specifically asked if it was available, but the server didn’t seem to know what Sulaimani was. I explained that it’s like black tea, and he brought me a black tea instead—but unfortunately, it was extremely sour and bitter, not at all drinkable. What upset me most was the behavior of the waiters. They appeared to mock us while we were eating—mimicking our actions, which felt very disrespectful. It was disappointing and made us uncomfortable. We came there to eat peacefully and paid for our food, and such treatment from the staff was truly disheartening. After lunch, we visited a handicraft store in the same building, and the customer service there was also quite poor. I’m giving a 3-star rating mainly because of the average food and the unpleasant experience with the staff. I had read many positive reviews before visiting, which now feel overly hyped. Also, the hotel is not visible from the main highway; we found it only through Google Maps.
Just left from Aryas Hotel, Valavanadu - Alappuzha (Colgate Junction), and honestly had a very disappointing experience. Ordered meals and was served only rice, papad, cabbage thoran, tomato curry, and sambar - nothing else. When I asked about the missing dishes while paying ₹125, they casually said everything else was finished. No courtesy to inform customers beforehand or ask if we’re okay with limited items. One of the worst experiences I’ve had. Wouldn’t recommend Aryas to anyone.
While traveling from Alappuzha Beach to Kochi, we stopped at Hotel Aryaas Vegetarian Restaurant in Valuvanadu—and it turned out to be a hidden gem! We had four meals, one Gobi Manchurian and one masala dosa, and every single dish was absolutely delicious. The rice served was the traditional Kerala matta rice, and the accompanying curries were packed with authentic Kerala flavors. I had initially assumed Aryaas was more of a Tamil Nadu-style restaurant, but this was clearly a Kerala culinary experience at its best. The masala in masala dosa was especially memorable—truly the original and at its finest. Located conveniently right along the highway en route to Cherthala, it’s an easy stop for travelers. The service was excellent, and to top it all off, the meals were served on banana leaves—a charming and traditional touch that’s becoming rare, even in Kerala-based Tamil Nadu restaurants. Highly recommended if you're passing through the area. Thank you, Aryaas, for a great experience! Service: 5
