I had a very disappointing experience ordering from Hotel Udupi Saravana Bhavan through Zomato. I ordered 5 idlis for ₹150, and shockingly, they did not include any sambar or chutney — just plain idlis delivered in the box. When I contacted the restaurant, they rudely responded saying “this is how it is if you order online” and that I would have to pay extra for sambar/chutney. This is completely unacceptable and misleading. Who eats idli without curry? For ₹150, the least I expect is a basic South Indian combo — idli with chutney and sambar. This was a waste of money, and I couldn’t even eat the idlis. Very poor service, no customer care, and a completely misleading food listing. I strongly do not recommend this restaurant to anyone ordering online. Zomato should take action against such fraud listings and ensure customers are not misled. Meal type: Breakfast

Uduppi Saravana Bhavan We had breakfast at Uduppi Saravana Bhavan when we were at Alappuzha recently. I tasted Idly, vada, Pongal and we had ordered Family Dosa for 6 of us. Idly was good, Sambar was excellent, Chutney was mild. Family dosa was Huge, Potato filling/Palya tasted very good with sambar.
