Trying nicely cooked belly pork, chicken and tempura is what a number of clients recommend. The great location of this bar makes it easy to reach even in rush hours. A lot of reviewers say that the staff is attentive at this place. If you want to experience enjoyable service, you should go to Hortus. From the visitors' point of view, prices are affordable. 2022 Decor is different; contrasting and gives the feel of a Study built inside a tropical Garden overlooking a Forty Foot Bar; one of the longest in Kerala, I suppose. Service leaves room for improvement. Floor manager was not warm. Tried to seat us on a high table when the whole place was empty. A waiter guided us from the high table to a nice cozy sitting place. Waiters were without exception very friendly. Bloody Mary is good enough to kill for. Caesar’s Salad is great. Surprised to find Sashimi on the menu and still more pleasantly surprised that it was tasty. Loved the tuna: good and easy on the Palette. 2024 Went there after one year : Whiskey Sour was just too good. Dragon Chicken was excellent, Beef Tenderloin was out of the world. Pasta and Noodles too good. Excellent Service. Very friendly service by Table waiter and Doorman: Flor Manager was Lukewarm as usual. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Disappointing Experience at Hortus Astonishing interior, but sadly, excellence ends there. Our visit was marred by: Teriyaki Beef Bowl: •⁠ ⁠Worst I've had •⁠ ⁠Chewy, low-quality beef (unacceptable in a premium space) •⁠ ⁠Overcooked and dry Beer Service: •⁠ ⁠Serving Corona with lime instead of lemon? Unacceptable. Expectations vs. Reality: •⁠ ⁠Premium ambiance, subpar food and service •⁠ ⁠Lacking attention to detail Redemption: •⁠ ⁠Stunning interior design Areas for Improvement: •⁠ ⁠Food quality and taste •⁠ ⁠Proper beer service (lemon, not lime!) •⁠ ⁠Attention to detail Until improvements are made, temper your expectations. This place has exceeded my expectations, amazing food, good ambience. Very less crowd during peak hours of the weekend. I'll never forget the scrumptious Lasagne bolognese. Price per person: ₹1,000–1,200 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Dragon Chicken, Panna Cotta
