Most guests recommend trying nicely cooked kheer and good kacamak. Hindusthan Sweets boasts tasty gulab jamun and nicely cooked jalebi. This place offers food delivery for the convenience of its clients. A lot of guests have noticed that the staff is courteous here. Cool service is something that visitors highlight in their comments. I recently ordered Hindusthan Sweets with the expectation of enjoying an authentic Bengali sweet experience, particularly their mihidana, a beloved traditional delicacy. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfying.The mihidana lacked the signature flavor and aroma that defines the traditional Bengali version. Instead, the taste seemed to cater more to a non-Bengali palate — likely Marwari or Jain preferences — which completely missed the depth and subtlety that Bengal’s sweet culture is known for. This deviation not only disappoints but also dilutes the heritage of our sweets.For a sweet shop based in West Bengal, it’s disheartening to see the essence of such iconic items compromised. If you're looking for the true taste of Bengali mihidana, I’d suggest looking elsewhere specifically from North Kolkata few old sweet shop and mostly any local sweet shop from North 24 Paragans, Howrah, Hooghly, Midnapore and Burdwan districts.
