Ordered Chicken roll and chicken pakora ... I am visiting here since I was a kid ... The food is yummy and service is also good ... Quite affordable ...
Karco - The Faded Glory !m When I first visited this place I was a kid. I remember that me & my uncle was doing some shopping in Esplanade & while returning he mentioned- ‘Chol Kolkatar ek sera roll er dokane jai’ ! He worked in Esplanade from late 60’s & I always feel thrilled about this part of the city when I hear his experience about food, cinemas, hogg market etc... We took liver roll & chicken egg roll as much I can remember & believe me or not that’s the first time I ever tasted real rolls in my life! Unforgettable experience! What a taste... Time flew & It remained closed for sometimes. In 2000’s , I went there again... I felt there like a whole different place! Menus, recipes & the decor ! I ordered the rolls with an addition of Roasted chicken! I loved the roast but the roll is somehow lost it’s uniqueness... Though we enjoyed the food thoroughly but when I left the place I didn’t carry something this will remain engraved in my memories... It’s still my kaku’s dialogue after our meal that night - ‘Kirey, bolechilam na , er theke bhalo roll kolkatay khub kom ache’ ... & my super satisfying smile ????!!!
On an enthralling drizzling evening post work I was roaming past the new market area or u can say it stands the evergreen hub of the city where you can find varieties of food options.. Heritage karco as the name suggest is one of the vintage and potentially a heritage joint in that area.. There are this two sections available with a/c nd non a/c seatings.. . I opted for the a/c section where only limited seats are available.. Ordered mushroom chow and chilly chicken dry.... The order came fast and the food was delicious.. The oil content in the food is the only a setback I felt..Really loved the chilly chicken though...
