The menu of this restaurant is recommended to Japanese and Peruvian cuisine lovers. Most guests of Heliconia - Celebration of Nikkei cuisine say that perfectly cooked salmon ceviche, salmon and rolls are offered here. Try good ice cream.

Last night, my partner and I visited Heliconia at the JW Marriott hotel looking for a nice culinary experience for Valentine's day, and we got exactly that. We are very familiar with Japanese cuisine as I myself am Japanese, but we had never experienced Nikkei cuisine and were very excited to try the food, especially knowing that the chef himself was from Peru. The menu was very extensive and included classics such as ceviche, tiradito, solterito, and a Latin American classic dessert - très leches. We were also pleasantly surprised at how many dishes were vegetarian, many of which were highlights for us, and I was told that they are also working to incorporate more options for specific diets such as Jain vegetarianism. So many of the dishes were delicious, but a few of our favourites were: chefs signature Nikkei solterito (we could drink that vinaigrette), the wild mushroom gyoza, the salmon ceviche and chefs signature carretillero, the torched Hamachi maki, the grilled chicken taco, and the très leches. The menu seems designed to enjoy as many dishes as you want over a relaxed pace, which is how we created it for ourselves, and we certainly didn't leave hungry! We highly recommend the restaurant for its food, and you must try Nikkei cuisine if you haven't yet.
