Honest review: I would never suggest anyone to visit on weekends because during weekends the entire delhi visit this highway and almost every dhabha is full and the same happened to me on Saturday night. We had to wait and we were given a token number of 13, yeah there were 12 people ahead of us. Anyways talking about the food, it was really good and tasty but the quantity was too small. We ordered dal makhni, paneer adraki and kadhai paneer with butter roti and we had to wait for more than 15 - 20 mins. Again due to the over crowd situation. Considering the quantity of the food, I can simply say it is on the expensive side. You can easily have dinner at this price anywhere in delhi and you will get better quantity. But hey, we all delhites go to murthal for a long drive with friends n family so sometimes it doesn't matter. Quality of food 5 out 5 Quantity of food 4 out 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

On a recent trip along the Murthal highway, we decided to stop at Haveli, one of the well-known themed restaurants in the region. It’s hard to miss with its traditional architecture, bright lights, and cultural décor that immediately catch your eye from the road. It promises a taste of Punjab, both visually and in its food offerings. After spending some time there, here’s my detailed take: ⸻ Ambiance – 5/5 The ambiance is the strongest point of Haveli. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported into a space inspired by rural Punjab. There are vibrant murals, traditional seating setups, statues of folk dancers, bullock carts, and even live cultural displays at times. Whether you choose to sit indoors or outdoors, the entire property is well-maintained and beautifully designed. The outdoor seating is especially pleasant in the evenings, with fairy lights and a village-style setup that makes it perfect for families and groups to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. ⸻ Food – 3/5 Coming to the food, it was decent but not exceptional. We ordered a few classic North Indian dishes, expecting bold flavors and hearty portions. Unfortunately, the portion size was surprisingly small, especially considering the prices. Taste-wise, everything was average – not bad, but nothing that stood out as extraordinary. The gravies were on the richer side, but lacked depth in flavor, and the breads were fresh but standard. For the price you pay, you’d expect something either tastier or more generous. ⸻ Pricing – 3/5 While Haveli offers a premium and memorable ambiance, the pricing is definitely on the higher side, especially when compared to nearby dhabas that serve similar food. When you factor in the small portion sizes, the overall value for money feels a little low. You’re clearly paying more for the experience and setting than the food itself. ⸻ Service – 4/5 The service was polite and fairly prompt. The staff seemed trained to handle crowds and were accommodating when it came to seating preferences. The cleanliness, both in the dining areas and restrooms, was commendable. ⸻ Final Thoughts – 4/5 Haveli on Murthal Road is a place you visit more for the experience than the food. It’s beautifully crafted, clean, and great for a road trip pitstop where you can relax, click some great pictures, and enjoy a bit of cultural charm. However, if you’re coming here solely for a delicious, value-for-money meal, you might find yourself underwhelmed. Pros: Beautiful ambiance, clean and organized, good for families Cons: Small portions, costly, average food quality Overall Rating: /5 Recommended for those who value experience and environment just as much (or more) than taste and pricing. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹800–1,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Mixed Experience – Good Ambience but Inconsistent Food & Service I visited this restaurant with my kids and had a somewhat mixed experience. There was a 15-minute wait before we got a table, which was manageable but could be improved. Food Highlights & Downsides: - Aaloo Parantha was the best item we ordered—flavorful and well-made. - Cheese Grilled Sandwich was decent, though nothing exceptional. - Rajmah was disappointing—too spicy and lacked the rich, balanced flavor I expected. - Jeera Rice felt dry and reheated, as if it wasn’t freshly prepared. - The Badaam Milk (taken to-go) was delicious—creamy and well-flavored. Service & Ambience: - The ambience was pleasant—clean and family-friendly. - However, the service lacked attentiveness—waiters seemed inattentive, and care for customer comfort was missing. - Another challenge: Washroom Access Only from Outside– This was the most frustrating par. Having to go outside the restaurant to use the restroom is inconvenient, and evn to wash hands especially with kids. Poor planning! Final Verdict: A decent place with some hits (like the parantha and badaam milk) but several misses (rajmah, jeera rice). Better service and consistency in food quality would greatly improve the experience. Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
