This is a newly opened fish themed cafe with an aquarium and live fishing experience where you can grab any fish of your choice and get it cooked right infront of you. It's a bong coffee house offering various coffee options, quick bites along with their regular menu. Some of my recommendations are Fish Lovers Pizza, Cilantro Fish, Crab in Butter Garlic Sauce, French Press, Apple Pie Tart and many more. Highly recommended! My recent dining experience led me to Gungchill by Fishy Fills, a charming new restaurant conveniently situated on Purna Das Road, right beside Wise Owl. This establishment, with its roots in Bengali coffee culture, excels in creating exceptional fish dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. The undeniable star of the evening was the Bengali Maharani Thali, attractively priced at a mere ₹799. This opulent spread featured a tantalizing medley of flavors, from succulent chicken and prawns to flawlessly cooked fish, accompanied by comforting dal, crispy bhaja, crunchy papad, zesty chutney, and a sweet conclusion with the delectable Gulab Jamun. It was truly a feast for the senses, and the affordability of the meal only added to its charm. For those with a penchant for exploring more of their seafood offerings, the Baked Kolkata Bhetki (priced at ₹369) stood out as a highlight. The delicate nuances of the fish melded seamlessly with the rich sauce it was baked in. Additionally, the Kasundi Gondhoraj Cutlet (₹159 for 2 pieces) served as a delightful appetizer, offering a spicy, kick accompanied by a hint of citrusy freshness. Should you seek something on the lighter side, the Fish Finger Kolkata Bhetki (2 pieces for 159 INR) and the Chicken Wings (₹259) proved to be excellent choices. The crispy fish fingers made for a delightful snack,, while the chicken wings boasted tenderness and an explosion of flavors. One dish that truly stole the show was the Smokey BBQ Pulled Chicken Burger, priced incredibly low at just ₹89.
