Great Wok of China is a multi cuisine restaurant located in the beautiful city of Ballygunge, Kolkata. This restaurant serves both Chinese and Asian cuisines to the customers. And the best thing? It’s more pocket friendly than you can even imagine. To give you an estimate, it’ll take approximately 900 ruppees for two people on an average. Open 7 days a week, you can book a table anytime from your home. Apart from table booking, the Great Wok of China also gives free parking. The establishment type is casual dining. This casaul dining provides a person with relaxing atmosphere. It offers elegant environment. The service provided here is exceptionally is courteous and humble and not to forget the fact that staff here is one of the most friendly I have seen till date. People there just make you feel at home. A person eats comfortably with people around to help whenever needed.The food here ranges from spicy Szechuan to tangy lemon. Yes, the restaurant provides the customers with wide range of flavors so that everytime a person visits the Great Wok of China, they get to try new and completely different food. According to their website, the Great Wok of China does all it’s wok cooking and deep frying with cholesterol free canola oil using the freshest and choicest fruits and vegetables personally selected from the local wholesale market, unlike other Chinese restaurants in the area. Only the best quality meats, poultry and seafood are used in our specialty dishes, each individually prepared in the traditional Chinese manner to make sure that a person is served with the best of best.Rest assured, you are going to have a great time here just like we did. Team PanchPhoron was invited to try out the lip smacking dishes in the 13th of August.We were served the following dishes.• Veg double pan fried noodles : Pan fried noodles loaded with vegetables like broccoli, mushrooms and others• Chicken moon fan : A type of fried rice with chicken pieces tossed with a number of spices• Roast chilli pork : It’s a roasted pork dish in soya sauce. Although, it was a bit too salty for me.• Bali Chicken : As the name suggests, the chicken preparation is from the famous place Bali, • Spicy Sriracha Prawns : A prawn dish in Sriracha sauce which is a hot sauce made from the paste of chilly peppers distilled vinegar garlic and salt named after the city Sri Racha of Thailand• Pork spare ribs : Pork cuts served in barbeque sauce. The pork had a layer of fat on it. Tastes delicious. • Fish Thai red curry : Back to Thailand we go, another famous dish from the place.• Chicken Fried steak sizzler : I’d say I loved this dish the most out of all. Fried chicken steak served with veggies and rice cooker to perfection. I’d recommend it to everyone who plans to visit the place.
