Besides Backyard, visit HOTEL GRAND in the vicinity. It's great to try Indian cuisine. Visit this restaurant to taste nicely cooked tapas, sambar and masala dosa. You will like its food, particularly tasty pancakes and good jalebi. Most likely, you'll return to HOTEL GRAND later to degust delicious coffee.
It's easy to find this place due to the great location. The accommodating staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. This spot is remarkable for its professional service. You will appreciate low prices. It's always a good idea to experience something new and enjoy the exotic ambiance. But this restaurant hasn't earned a high rating from Google users.

That parota maker speaking bad words ....in their language just that in dnt have change .....he thinks that I dnt knw hindhi....but am well in hindhi...i tried to call the hotel to complaint but no o body received cal...i will never go bak there ...and i will tell all my friends not to go there

My god. This is place is awesome.1) The whole atmosphere/ambiance is great. Not in a posh, upmarket way, but in a relaxed, homely way. The place is clean and hygienic, and the back, tree covered lanes of Adyar are always a pleasure to be in. Opening out to the street, it's a welcome change for the regular CCD/Barista goer.2) One plate of their freshly made Kuzhi Panniyarams and you'll be a customer for life. Soft, with a crispy outer shell - and quite large, too! Served with a huge helping of the thickest and most tasty Onion Chutney and Sambhar, full of flavour. Simply brilliant! Really the Kuzhi Panniyaram benchmark, in my opinion.3) Filter Coffee. Perfect place to sip a nice tumbler of filter coffee while staring out at the calm lanes of Adyar. The quintessential, Madras filter coffee can really be devoured here. Saying it's the best would be stretching it, but it's definitely up there.4) The building itself is quite pretty, and has some elements of traditional South Indian architecture.I love this place.
