With all the hype that’s going on around Goila Butter chicken I ordered their butter chicken thali. Dal makhani was good, though nothing to write home about. Roomali roti was not good. But the butter chicken was terrible…. When you call n market your place with this dish, please remember you set the expectation bar very high, there was no flavour of Kasuri methi, smokiness was totally missing which is an essential part of this dish. The chicken didn’t go in the Tandoor at all it was simply cooked in the gravy( I doubt it though, coz gravy didn’t have any chicken flavour). Saransh Goila who’s the chef n in whose name this place is, had represented this world famous Indian dish at Master chef Australia n I remember, his recipe was quite nice. But they give hopeless dish to us Indians why!!!! Mangaloreans if you’re looking for a good Butter chicken in Mangalore go to Sai palace or Gajalee they serve better butter chicken than this. This butter chicken is pathetic. Don’t waste your money!
