The reviews were way too glossy for the actual food, prices and quantity. The Pork Aam Sol and The beef Chilly were a true testament to the cuisine of Goa. However, the pork fat could’ve been cooked a little more as it was rubbery and a little too much of fat in comparison to the meat. The beef chilly was yum and flawless. Bacon Wrapped Prawns, priced at ₹550 were an honest abomination. The prawns were medium sized to say the least, and unseasoned. The bacon added a lovely Smokey flavour, but the dish lacked the basic salt and pepper. The BBQ sauce that was on it, did nothing to enhance the flavours of the dish. The Potli Kabab, was delicious to me. However, the other diners at our table felt the filling to be way too less and couldn’t differentiate between the inside fillings and the creamy sauce that went over it. The Goa Sausage Naan, had the loveliest bread but the filling inside was terrifying. When you’re charging a whopping ₹250, please be generous with Goan sausages! Which was very disappointing. It was eating flavoured naan and had zero bite of a sausage. Not in the picture was Goa Sausage (a dish). It was 15 single pieces of sausage with thick potato rounds and onions. And the sausages were mostly fat. We were left aghast with what was put on the table. Having known how the South is infamous for their Goan food, the dish left us mortified. We genuinely felt ripped off. It was like a boiled sausage and onion dish , which could’ve been told to us. Cheese Fish Fingers. Crispy but where was the cheese? Grated on the top! The fish fingers died a million deaths before being fried up and put onto the plate. The fish inside smelled of what’s known as a freezer burn. Seemed like it was ready made and not made in house , which should’ve been specified considering the price. Again, terrible. Not pictured, the Squid Garlic Chilli. Again, zero seasoning. Rubbery squids. Beef Seekh Kabab. We went for this because chicken seekhs have a tendency to get hard if not cooked well. But the beef was absolutely hard and not even the slightest bit succulent. Did not have any smokiness of a tandoor and was so disappointing. Lemon Chicken, recommended by the server. Had the tang of lime. Could’ve done away with th the extra chilli and spices and been a simple lemon garlic chicken. We ended the meal with a tiramisu entremet. The mascarpone mousse (I’m assuming) could have had more punch. Tasted like a whipped cream exterior. By the time you reach the middle, coffee bit, you’re left wanting for more of that coffee to shine through. And with a tender coconut pudding, which was more like a desiccated coconut pudding. Would’ve really liked to have had tender coconut pieces in it which is the benchmark! We were comped with French fries, for the lack of it all. The server Freddy is proactive and the saving grace. Owners need to take a step back and look at their quality, quantity and pricing to satisfy all taste buds. By quality, I mean taste. Hygiene, cleanliness was on point! Nothing was too oily and all the dishes felt clean. Ambience : 5/5 Food : 3/5 VFM: 2/5 Maybe we had the wrong items?
