The reason foodstep is my one of the favourite to order is there portion size is close enough to perfect !
No matter what you ordered here .The portion size is all good.
Coleslaw Sandwich and fried Idli are a Must try here if you are going first time.
Elaichi tea is love.
No idea about the ambience as I only ordered at home from Foodstep .
Look ma, I finally found a decent vada-pav in Gandhinagar!
My Mumbai 2.0 journey introduced me to various food items, some of them I never thought I would ever have and some which were a part of journey 1.0 as well but I didn’t pay much importance to them. One of them being vada pav. I stayed near Kirti college in Dadar and the first time I had vada pav, I didn’t like the taste. I did try a couple of more places but again, never liked its taste. But in my 2.0 journey, vada pav became an integral part of my routine, especially when I used to go back home late after work and the companion in the traffic journey would either be a dabeli or a vada pav…There were times when I had to reach office early and I would leave home only after a cup of cold coffee. Vada pav would be my savior. We were more than just friends. We fell in love.
After I came back to Gandhinagar, it become a long distance love story! I longed for that vada pav every now & then, at times even in the middle of the night when I’m binge-watching something on Netflix. I tried it at a couple of places but unfortunately, no place gave me that exact fulfilment of my craving which I desperately wanted to fulfil. Love does that to you!! I again started almost hating vada pav again but then I knew I can’t give up that soon.love deserves second chances right?
This evening, ma asked me to order something “interesting” as it was slightly raining and she wasn’t much in the mood to prepare bhajjis or dalwada. So checking out on Swiggy, I saw this place called Foodsteps and scrolling down the menu, I saw vada pav. From the pictorial representation they had, I was 50% convinced that finally, I might have found the one. I immediately ordered a couple of them and a half an hour later, it was home… yay. I without wasting any time for even clicking took my first bite and oh lord, I found such an amazing vada pav with the perfect green and an apt amount of dry garlic chutney. I was in my cloud 9 when I took the second bite and there it was, the taste of imli chutney which had blended with the vada pav. I’m not fond of imli in my vada pav. Rest of the items in the menu do look awesome and I’m probably going to order more soon. things change in love as it did with me too...but love finally won.
