I visited Foo in Bandra on a Wednesday evening and was surprised to find that reservations were still necessary despite it being a weekday. Thankfully, I had made one. The ambience at Foo was impressive, and the service was even better. Our server, Surya, did an excellent job explaining the dishes and providing recommendations. We started with the prawn tempura sushi, which was good but comparable to other prawn tempura sushi we've had. Next, we tried the Sriracha Chicken Dumplings, which surpassed our expectations with their flavorful kick. The highlight of our appetizers was the Hakka Belgium Pork Belly, which was slightly sweet but so delicious that we ordered another plate. The main course was the real star of the meal. The Foo Blue Butter Japanese Rice was packed with taste and flavor, and the Foo Yellow Curry Chicken complemented it perfectly. Both dishes were highly recommended. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience at Foo. The portion sizes for two were just right. While it is on the pricier side, if you're a fan of Asian cuisine, Foo is definitely worth a visit. So yesterday I celebrated my bday at foo bandra with my daughter ,reserved it thru easy app.i arrived at 8 pm was ushered to a table. Drinks ;- glass of rose n yuzu lemon fizz Food:- crispy tofu in sweet chilli sauce Nikkei prawn tempura uramaki, foo blue butter Japanese fried rice n Tom yum fried rice . The review:- the main course was a winner , though the exotic vegetables as described were barely visible in the Japanese rice u need a magnifying glass for tracing them . My daughters Tom yum was gud but the authentic Thai taste was missing. We still had it as they were gud on the taste. The prawn tempura were just 4 pieces described having avacado in it ..which was not even present even 1 rupee in it n over priced .tofu was not crispy at all. Such thin slices for that price was unbelievable. We finished off with the dessert snicker cake which the easy app offered if booked a table here. Saving grace ; the server ALSTON was polite n catered to our needs and assured evrything went well . I noticed he is well mannered,poised, well spoken n hygienic as I cud smell fresh minty fragrance as he was speaking . The ambience is gud ,they leave u alone to enjoy the food . Most of the waiters don't smile they look very busy . There was one fat waiter he was also gud .the restaurant manager also checked on us . The service taxes are high as well . We paid 5000 for all this along with 2 items take away ,But it was an OK experience m not going there again. Il try another .
