Chicken Hotdog - Rs.100/-. Coffee - Rs.40/- Flavour's, Lachumiere, Shillong Fast Food Joint $$ 21.12.24 It's the beginning of Christmas Holidays & well that means I have to run around alot to finish off some family chores. I left the house haven't not eaten properly & by 11am I was slightly hungry. As I was passing through Lachumiere, I thought I would drop in at Flavour's & grab some light snack before lunch. Now there are a few things at Flavour's that are pretty popular like their Aloo Parathas, Chicken Rolls etc but for me it's always been about the Chicken Hotdog in the pinkish sauce. Now this kind of Hotdog I first ate at the Nazareth Hospital cafeteria which used to be located at the entrance of the hospital in the early 90's. Then that shut shop & the next place I had this kind of hotdog is at Flavour's in the mid to late 90's which was then located opposite the Nazareth hospital. Then a few years back this also shifted to the current location at Lachumiere. Now I've always loved their hotdogs so it was a no brainer. I don't think I've had one in 2024. I also ordered a cup of coffee to go along with it. I placed my order which was ready in 10mins. Now this is not a proper restaurant, more of a takeaway with 2 tables & chairs placed outside. The hotdog looked slightly burnt but it didn't have any burnt taste infact it was better as it was crispier. I took a bite & yes this was exactly what I was looking for. The flavour of the pink sauce overruled everything else including the point that the meat inside felt little less. I was happy. I then had the coffee & it was okay. But definitely not worth the 40 bucks. Anyway I was here for the hotdog & it didn't disappoint. This still is my favourite Hotdog place in town. Instagram ID - kari.on.eats.
