Guys if you are at Udaipur, do try this retuarant located at Ambrai Road, awesome veg matka biryani and one of the best paneer dishes I had, Paneer Toofani Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian

My score is mainly based on the food. We purchased the paneer lababdar, jeera rice, and missi roti. The missi roti was average tasting, the texture was fine, a bit on the dry side, and lacking flavour. The jeera rice was cooked well with good flavour, if I were to be incredibly picky I’d say it was slightly dry, but it was more than satisfactory. The lababdar was a bit of a let down, it was quite oily and had quite a simple flavour, just a very generic creamy curry taste. The paneer was soft (which is fine) but the gravy (sauce) was quite broken. I did hear a microwave go off at one point so it might have been split from the reheating process. I have no issue with reheating gravy for serving as it can be quite difficult to make in small batches but it’s worth noting. The service was good, although I will say to the person at the counter collecting payment (owner?) that saying “give me a review”, especially with what seemed like the expectation that we’d do it in front of you is not the way to ask. Mention that you’d appreciate me leaving one if I get a chance. I did not give them any feedback on the spot as the whole experience was fine, the restaurant was clean, it’s just that it was nothing special. It’s not expensive, but it’s a little higher than you’d get outside of the touristy areas. You might be better off ordering elsewhere on Zomato or Swiggy and enjoying something outside of the touristy spots at your hotel.
