Highway tea experiences rarely get better than Engineer's Cafe located on the Tirunelveli - Nagercoil highway. Phenomenal tea and coffee with some absolutely delicious vadas, puffs and samosas are on top of my picks. Their ginger tea is something that everyone needs to try especially after a long drive. If you crave something cold, there are fresh juices, bottled drinks and ice creams. If you are really hungry, try the selection of bread omelettes available in the menu. Guaranteed satisfaction for your tummy. There are also a lot of packaged snacks - savoury and sweet. If you meet the owner Danny, he's a great conversationist too. Other amenities. - There is large space and ample seats for bigger crowds - Toilet facilities available - Free parking in front of and beside the cafe that can fit even busses. - Located right next to a petrol/ diesel bunk for topping up your vehicle too. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options available. Parking: There is space in front of the cafe also the side. The side parking space is big enough to park a couple of full size busses and a few cars. Kid-friendliness: Very safe design of the cafe with space to run around for little ones makes this a good place to take kids.
