the staff is so cheap that even they had 5 rupees change still told me to pay 5 extra. When I gave them my change then he gave me 2 5 rupee coins. Very cheap behaviour for such a royal place.

The food was delicious, though serving times vary depending on restaurant rush. If you order wine, it may take longer due to stock availability. The view of Lake Pichola and City Palace is truly magnificent. I recently dined at the Darikhana Restaurant inside Jagmandir Palace and the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. First, the location is incredibly inconvenient to reach, long long lines for tickets and then for boat entry also you have to walk the entire length of the city palace to reach the boat house. After a long and tedious journey, I arrived with high hopes, but they quickly faded.The ambiance at the Darikhana Restaurant inside Jagmandir Palace felt forced and pretentious, as if the restaurant was trying too hard to impress with its over-the-top decor. The menu was a jumble of ingredients that seemed more focused on sounding fancy than on actual flavor.To top it all off, several hours after dining, I fell seriously ill. It turns out I wasn’t the only one; I later learned through google reviews that multiple diners experienced severe food poisoning. This was not just a bad meal—it was a health hazard.Given the outrageous prices and the utter lack of quality or care in both food and service, I can't emphasize enough how unworthy this restaurant is of your time or money. Don’t go here ever if you value your health!!
