Costly.. Just One Time Visit Place..overall Experience - Moderate Dal Baati & Co. - A Taste of Rajasthan in Koregaon Park. Nestled in the bustling lanes of Koregaon Park, Dal Baati & Co. promises an authentic Rajasthani culinary experience. This small, often-congested eatery aims to transport you to the heart of Rajasthan with its traditional flavors, though it comes with its own set of considerations. Before Going Ahead a small tip to save your money on below. MUST NOT EAT Unworthy ITEMS 1. All Lassis - Very costly .They are nothing but..just a very thick curd and flavored Lassis are like Flavored Curd. 2. Mung Halwa - Yet another costly dish served with a hell lot of ghee and not properly roasted uncooked Mung daal. 3. Shahi Churma - It's just another churma with some extra Granulated Sugar. Nothing Shahi or Special about it 4. Kadhi ane Butter Milk - 150rs for Butter Milk is not reasonable 5. Punjabi Veggies - Same yellow sour and sweet curd based gravy used for all the punjabi dishes Highlights & Recommendations: 1. Try Items: * All Kachoris were served hot and fresh ..they were crispy and tasty .. * Dal Baati Thali / Kunwar Thali: This is a must-try for a complete experience. The combination of varied baatis, rich dal, and churma provides a wholesome and authentic meal. * Gatte Ki Sabzi: The preparation here is commendable, offering a true taste of this Rajasthani staple.. * Masala Roasted Khichiya: A great appetizer that delivers on flavor and value. * Normal Churma: The traditional sweet accompaniment is often highlighted for its authentic taste. 3. Ambiance and Waiting Experience: * Long Wait on Weekends: Be prepared for a significant wait, especially during peak hours on weekends. * No Seating for Elderly during Wait: A notable drawback is the lack of proper seating or facilities for elderly patrons during these long waiting periods. The place is quite small and can feel cramped. * Congested Place: The restaurant's compact size can lead to a somewhat congested dining experience. 4. Cost Considerations: * High Cost for A-la-carte: While the thalis offer good value, individual items (excluding the thali options) are generally priced quite high for the portion sizes. Overall Verdict: A One-Time Visit Place. Dal Baati & Co. is undeniably a strong contender for authentic Rajasthani food in Pune, particularly if you're craving genuine Dal Baati and Gatte Ki Sabzi. The food itself is often praised for its traditional flavors and generous use of ghee. However, the operational aspects like long waiting times, lack of comfortable waiting areas, the small and congested space, and the high pricing of individual items outside the thali make it more of a one-time visit experience to satisfy a specific craving for Rajasthani cuisine rather than a regular dining spot. If you're willing to overlook the crowd and waiting for discomfort and some extra load on your wallet for a truly authentic culinary journey, then Dal Baati & Co. is worth exploring. BUT ONLY FOR ONCE .. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹2,000+

I had the misfortune of dining at Daal Baati & Co in Koregaon Park, and it was an experience I won't forget for all the wrong reasons. The food was subpar at best—my daal was bland, and the baati was dry and hard, clearly not freshly made. For a place that specializes in this cuisine, I expected much more.

What truly ruined our experience, however, was the appalling attitude of the owner. When I requested a finger bowl for my elderly father, she was dismissive and downright rude, making it clear that our comfort was the last thing on her mind. It's unbelievable that a restaurant owner could be so inconsiderate to customers, especially to an elderly person.

With such a lack of respect for their patrons and poor food quality, I can’t recommend Daal Baati & Co. Save your time and money for a place that actually values its customers.
