I have been a regular customer of Chinese Corner on Temple Road, Mysuru through Swiggy for quite some time, but this time I decided to visit the restaurant in person. Honestly, when I reached the location, the exterior didn’t give the feel of a typical restaurant, and even after entering, I felt a bit let down by the interiors. They do have a good number of seats, but the place lacks a trendy or modern vibe. Since I already knew their food was good, I waited patiently for the dishes to arrive — and they didn’t disappoint. We ordered Chicken Momo, Chicken Spring Roll, Crispy Chicken, Mixed Hakka Chowmein, Chilli Basil Fish, and Angel Chicken. Each dish was tasty in its own way. The momo and spring roll were exceptionally good. Apart from my long-time favourite Chilli Basil Fish, the Mixed Chowmein also stood out with great flavour. The Crispy Chicken was nice too, though I personally didn’t enjoy the Angel Chicken — it felt a bit too oily and overly spicy for my taste. The only area where I felt they could improve is the speed of service. Our main course items (the noodles, fish, and Angel Chicken) arrived with a gap of around 3–4 minutes between each, which slightly broke the flow of the meal. Nevertheless, the food quality is commendable, and I would still recommend Chinese Corner for its delicious dishes. A little upgrade in ambience and quicker service would make the overall experience even better. Bad Experience.
Ordered online through Swiggi, Chicken Chinese Chopsuey and Chicken Steamed Momos.
1. Chopsuey : Vermicelli were delivered instead of noodles. The gravy was thick and was not even sufficient to wet the noodles (vermicelli).
2. Momos : The coverings were not only thick but undercooked.
