Lemon Tree Premiere, Pune Great property, located at a walkable distance from Pune station. In fact, in some aspects, it is actually a find. The facade is excellent, the trappings of an excellent place, and the people are great. The rooms are large, though not as large as Aurora Towers or Residency club - both in the vicinity - yet sufficiently so. But the superior quality remains. I was accorded Room No 809, and the place actually wowed me. The Picture window is designed to provide an expansive cityscape view and allow maximum natural light into the room. The aqua area was also well structured, the bathroom (Thank God) was a fully enclosed one with a wall-to-wall glass door adorning it. And then, on the second floor, you also have a large emerald-green swimming pool. Not the kinds where you can have plentiful intrusions, not the kinds where there is an associated restaurant where people saunter by and ogle at the swimmers, but the quiet, dedicated place kind. Not an infinity pool, but still overlooking the horizon at a distance.The breakfast was a tad disappointing, there was quantity replacing the variety. Especially the dessert bakery. Surprisingly, the most attractive part of the breakfast was relegated casually to a background, and carelessly heaped in. Idlis, dosas, omelettes, poori, chana, cut fruits, canned juices - ho-hum. I wish there were something slightly more premium.A special mention to Deepak Sharma, the Executive Assistant Manager, who went all out to make my stay comfortable. A pleasant, young, and smiling gentleman, he gave me a few sound bytes on the property. He has been with the brand for donkey's years and swore by the brand. Especially the human side associated with it, it makes a conscious effort to employ physically challenged people, and in some cases, the ones suffering from Downs Syndrome as well. Salute.Definitely an encore for the next time.
