Chowman, once again restored my faith about my 'bong belief' that the best place to meet your Chinese food craving is still back at our good ol' city of Calcutta. How much fine Chinese food preparations I have tried abroad, some how always miss the preparation style practiced back home.
Ordered over phone and was quite skeptical about the service on a Nabo Barsho evening. But to our surprise the order was taken patiently (and they adhered to the instructions as well on such a busy day like this) I kept my order very typical and simple as was trying for the first time. Received home delivery from Chowman (Patuli) within half an hour or so. The food was not very oily and the spice level was just right, as mentioned knowing my family members' likings. Loved the (Chicken) Momo platter and enjoyed the Wok Tossed Chicken Hakka Noodle with Manchurian Chicken.
Since the basic dishes went well, now looking forward to explore their menu a little more and dine out at any of their locations which i hear are also good. If the chain could keep up this quality, taste and service with value for money to this level i bet i will not think of visiting pricey Chinese chain in Kolkata, when such good eatery is at an arm's length from my place in Kolkata!!
