I’ve been a regular customer at Calcutta Pi, however, I faced a disappointing experience tonight. I had booked a dinner slot through Zomato for 10:45 pm, for which I received a confirmed reservation. I arrived at the restaurant at 10:43 pm, but the person at the cash counter, Mr. Som Maity, declined to provide a table, stating that the restaurant closes at 10:30 pm. I showed him my confirmed booking, but he mentioned that it was Zomato’s mistake for listing the wrong closing time. I also pointed out that Google shows the closing time as 11 pm, but he again said that was incorrect and that the restaurant closes earlier. When I requested to speak to the manager or owner, I was told they were not available. I’m posting this review so that the management is aware of the mismatch between the listed reservation timings and the restaurant’s actual operating hours. It causes inconvenience and disappointment to loyal customers, and I hope this issue is addressed so that no one else faces a similar situation in the future.
