Had dinner tonight at Fort Restaurant and honestly, the setting caught me by surprise. From the outside, it doesn’t scream “fancy,” but once you walk in, the vibe completely shifts — a mix of heritage architecture, warm lighting, and calm background folk music playing at just the right volume. We chose to sit in the open courtyard area since the weather was perfect. The lanterns around the seating gave the place a calm, almost old-world feel. We started with tandoori starters — I tried their paneer tikka — soft, nicely marinated, and not overloaded with masala. For mains, I went with their special Rajasthani thali, mostly out of curiosity. The ker sangri was the highlight for me — not something I eat often, but they nailed it. The service was on the slower side, but nothing unreasonable. In fact, it kind of matched the mood of the place — no rush, just sit back and enjoy. One thing I’ll say — this is not your usual noisy restaurant. It felt more like a peaceful dinner space, where you talk quietly and take your time with food.
