Visited Hotel Chouka recently and honestly, it felt like eating at home .The food has that pure Assamese touch — simple, flavourful, and cooked with care. The fish tenga was perfect, tangy and light, and the khar had that earthy taste you only get in real Assamese kitchens. The place has a calm, traditional vibe with bamboo interiors and folk music playing softly. The staff were polite and welcoming, just like you’d expect in Assam.
