Extremely Unprofessional Staff BehaviorI visited Chili’s at City Centre 1, Kolkata expecting a pleasant dining experience but left completely disappointed by how I was treated.Due to loud music, a staff member named Saif didn’t respond when we initially tried to place an order. I then said “excuse me” a bit louder so we could be heard. Instead of helping us, the staff member approached our table and rudely scolded me for “shouting”—in a tone that was completely uncalled for.To make matters worse, the manager on duty, Mr. Dhiraj, told us we should not refer to the staff as “waiters,” as it’s apparently a disrespectful term. I have always respected all professions, and I found this explanation both strange and offensive.What I expected was basic courtesy and hospitality. What I received was judgment and a lecture. Highly disappointed and honestly shocked that a reputed brand like Chili’s would tolerate such behavior from their staff.I hope the management takes this seriously and works on training their team on proper customer service and communication.
