Serving of dishes are not coordinated in the right way and in the 9 course it took 1hr to serve only 3 course,also one of the air conditioning in the first floor is not working and ambient temperature is high in the afternoon.

Curated dining experience, catered to display the true roots of chettinad cuisine. The architecture and the use athangudi tiles adds to the ambience, especially those books about the heritage and culture. Food on the other hand was remarkable impressive. Chettinad Canteen is truly a hidden gem for anyone who loves authentic Chettinad cuisine. From the moment we stepped in, we were impressed by the warm and welcoming ambience. The place is clean, well-maintained, and has a cosy traditional touch that immediately sets the mood for a great meal. The food was simply outstanding! We absolutely loved their fixed multi-course meal, which offers a variety of dishes that perfectly showcase the bold and aromatic flavors of Chettinad. The non-vegetarian nine-course meal was an absolute delight—each dish was flavorful, well-balanced, and perfectly spiced. The portions were generous, and every bite was an explosion of taste. One of the highlights for us was that the Mandi and Curd Rice—both were exceptional! The Mandi had that perfect balance of spices and tenderness, while the Curd Rice was refreshing and comforting. They also have an option for a vegan menu, which is a great touch for those with dietary preferences. The service was another aspect that stood out. The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal.
