The wonderful flavours of the Indian cuisine attract a number of customers. Take your beloved with you and enjoy nicely cooked fried prawns, fish curry and chicken biryani. Food delivery is a big plus of Chandran Mess(opp. Dist Court) - Non-veg family restaurant. The staff is attentive that's what makes this place so nice. Cool service is something visitors appreciate here. Low prices are to be expected at this spot. The atmosphere is spectacular, as people see it. Words cannot express how disappointed my visit to Chandran mess was. It was pitiful to see one of the cities finest establishments turn incredibly bad only because of the lackluster service. Items which were not offered to us, or was previously unavailable magically appeared to tables next to ours and the tables which came after us, rice nor the gravies were cold, and servers were super unprofessional that on one instance, serving trays were placed on my leaf and I wasn't even offered an apology let alone a replacement. Despite being a regular, I am now, really bothered that I cannot suggest people that visit Madurai to visit Chandran anymore. If preferential service was the restaurants motto, and if a part of the menu is only reserved for their selected clientele, I can't help but wonder, why the restaurant is open to the general public and ruin their experience and charge a bomb for doing so. The visit was not just disappointing, but was deeply upsetting to watch it's legacy being diminished by lapses in service and hospitality.
