A place thats very close to my heart. A simple place with best evening snacks to munch on. The jubilee hills branch was the first one and this beautiful outlet launched in Joint is the most beautiful one. Chai Pani, described in its name itself, its a true chai lover's destination.

Tea makes for an important part of our daily lives. From bed tea to the evening cup of chai, it won’t be wrong to call us a nation of tea drinkers. What’s more interesting are the different varieties of teas that are available and the ways in which they are prepared and enjoyed across different regions. Given that, Mumbai has a very different take on their usual cup of chai. They call it the ‘cutting chai’. Typically, a cutting chai in Mumbai is half a cup of tea, which is less in quantity and price but just enough to refresh your senses. Cutting chai literally translates to 'cut into half' which means a small quantity of tea. Initially, cutting chai was only offered at ‘tapri’ or chai stalls, but now many modern cafes are also serving it along with accompaniments. Cutting chai is usually enjoyed with biscuits or Khari biscuits, bun maska, bhajiya pav or vada pav and you would find tea vendors at every nukkad (street) in India. The cutting chai is generally served in special small sized glasses.

Considering its small quantity, cutting chai should be flavourful and aromatic. It should have the perfect balance of spices, aroma and strength to make a person fall in love with it in just one sip. And that's exactly what you get at Chai Pani Cafe. They blend different types of tea leaves to make one type and add flavours that include fresh ground elaichi, saunf, lemongrass or adrak (ginger). Tea is brewed with tea leaves, ginger, cardamom or any other flavouring ingredient along with milk. It is boiled for a longer period of time, a minute or two extra to make it kadak (strong) and also infuse all the flavours.
Bombay Sandwich - This aloo bhujii sandwich is a simple light classic that surely tickles you with simple flavours.
Masala Nimki- My ABSOLUTE favourite with my cutting chai. These tiny clusters are coated with chat data masala and are the perfect company for the chai. A match made on heaven!!
Osmania- Hyderabad's most famous biscuit, one cannot go wrong and shouldn't go wrong when in hyderabad. A prestige for the city and resembles its significance. And Chai pani has truly stood upto the standards of it.
Vada Pav- A bombay's typical signature dish. Its rare to find a good vada pave in hyderabd. But one destination to find a good vada pav is this.
Aloo parantha- Its rare to have a light set of aloo piranha that aren't too heavy but loaded with flavour.Chai pani has made sure that its a perfect light snack yet loaded with the classic aloo flavour. Served with pickle on side, it surely is a perfect plate to accompany ur drink.
They also have wide variety of baggies, sandwiches, omelettes. They also offer assorted Indian biscuits like osmania, rusk, masala nimki & mathri.
Their menu also includes indian snacks like Paranthas, Sandwiches, Jalapeno poppers, Omlettes and the evergreen Maggi. If your a true Hyderabadi, do not forget to enjoy your cup of cutting chai. I am sure you’ll fall in love with it, just like I did.
