I visited Chai Etc very recently with family group, and while the place initially left a strong impression, the overall experience turned out to be quite disappointing. To begin with the positives, Chai ETC is undeniably one of the descent name cafe in the area. The space is expansive, well laid out, and visually appealing. During the evening and night hours, the ambiance improves significantly, offering a pleasant view and a comfortable setting to sit and relax. From a purely aesthetic perspective, the place does manage to stand out. However, the food experience was extremely underwhelming, especially considering the premium pricing. The momos were by far the worst item we ordered. They were so poorly prepared that eating them became genuinely extremely difficult. There was an unpleasant smell coming from them, and every member of our group unanimously agreed that they were extremely awful. It was shocking to see such poor quality being served at such high prices. I’m not a Momo lover kind of person but still I know what momo tastes like and it was total experience of ……. . The Maggi was equally disappointing—overpriced and very basic. It felt like plain normal house Maggi with nothing more than a very very small amount of butter and veggie on top, which in no way justified the price charged. The Thukpa was another letdown. The noodles were very dry and not properly cooked. Having eaten thukpa many times before, this version was far below acceptable standards. We also tried potato masala fries. The fries were average at best—not bad, but certainly not good either. Overall, none of the items we ordered deserved more than 1.0 out of 10 in terms of quality and value. Even the drinks failed to impress. Across the entire group, there wasn’t a single item we felt was worth recommending. In my personal opinion, Chai Etc is an extremely overpriced place with very poor food quality. I would strongly advise “Against” ordering momos or thukpa. If you visit, go only for the ambiance and night view—not for the food. This review reflects my personal experience and is not meant to offend anyone. We visited Chai Etc. recently while looking for a new place to have some chai. The place is Located just alongside iheart Cafe and has been there for some time now. Earlier the place didn’t have many visitors but recently many people have made the place their favourite hangout place. We ordered a roll, momos, and tea. Personally the taste seemed ok to me. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Brunch Price per person: ₹200–400
