Unfortunately I have to share this weird experience in Caravela Cafe and Bistro.. I'm a regular customer and I often drop by for a nice coffee. Then the time came when I had send an urgent email regarding my work.. It was a matter of 10 min work.. I got the shock when they said, Laptop, i pad not allowed inside the cafe, bcoz they have a loss on food selling.. I was not able digest this strange condition of an European style cafe, who are following the European kinda food, taking care of quality of the coffee but forgot the main thing, which is the COURTESY. I travel worldwide, but I haven't seen a single cafe or restaurant, even in a poor country, where they don't allow to sit long and work just because of business purpose. Ironically the cafe was completely empty which later was quite obvious to me. When Indian business will learn the truth that for running a successful cafe, the behavior is most important than this kind weird business policy???? The purpose of writing this is genuinely for improvement, not just a criticism.. Please dont go there untill they understand the basic work ethics.. We definitely did not intend to stop you from working and even suggested you step outside to send out your quick mail. We tried explaining it to you that it has been our long-standing policy and it would not be fair for the other patrons who dine with us without laptops. Hope you understand our restaurant policies and dine with us without any work disturbances or consider visiting another cafe for work purposes.More
