As soon as you’ll enter the place, right at the onset it’ll take you back to the 1900 era with the unique murals and graffiti on the walls by famous Indian cartoonist and painter Mario Miranda!
The place which has sustained the passage of time, tragedy and is still one of the favourite cafes in town, just because of it’s retro looks, noise, chaos, music, jammed tables, warm staff and of course the delirious food; taking it to the next level!
Now about the breakfast we’d tried;

Café Mondegar is located at the beginning of Colaba Causeway and is one of the heritage restaurants of Mumbai. The walls are decorated with Cartoonist Mario Miranda's work. You can also find a jukebox in the corner. The ambience of the place is very lively throughout the day. The seating arrangement is a bit congested. They have two seating area. The inner one is air-conditioned. The here staff is attentive with swift service. The menu is extensive with different cuisine. There is plenty of variety for vegetarians as well. The place is usually crowded and you may possibly have to wait for your turn, but you won't regret the waiting once you're seated and enjoying your meal. The food is scrumptious and that’s what makes this place unique. They’ve managed to maintain the taste over the long period of time. Café Mondegar is a good place to go to if you want to experience the spirit of Mumbai.
